Wednesday of the Fruit of the Holy Spirit

“For a Good Tree Does Not Bear Bad Fruit, nor Does a Bad Tree Bear Good Fruit.” (Luke 6:43)

Wednesday of the Fruit of the Holy Spirit

Have you heard about the famous tree found in the Amazon called Samauma? It is commonly known in South America as the “mother” or “queen” of the forest. The tree’s fame is because, in winter, it stores water in itself so that in the summer, it can remain alive and provide water for the other trees around it. This way, the plants around it don’t die. You can almost say this tree generates and sustains life!

The same happens with the children of God through the Holy Spirit. The Lord Jesus compares those who are His to this tree that gives life to those around them (John 7:38-39).

It’s through the fruit of a person’s character, behavior, and life that we know whether or not they have received the presence of God within them, becoming His children:

“For a good tree does not bear bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit.” (Luke 6:43)

In the book of Galatians, the author describes the characteristics of a person who has received this Divine nature. When read with a sincere and open heart, the passage serves as a mirror to reveal our actual inner state.

That’s why we will begin a new Bible study called “The Fruit of the Holy Spirit.” It will be an opportunity for self-analysis and reflection and to learn valuable teachings from the Bible regarding the nature of God.

You can participate at 7 PM in all The Universal Church locations. You will have the opportunity to learn more about the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
