Bishop Joshua Explains That Faith Comes By Hearing
Do you remember that time when you were about to do something very difficult and you were nervous and afraid because you didn’t think you could do it? Remember, just before you talked yourself out of it, a good friend spoke to you and said, “you’ve got this”, “you are going to do great”. Then suddenly you felt peace and strength to face the challenge.
We all need encouragement sometimes, and I can tell you where to get the best encouragement of all. The best encouragement comes from the mouth of God. Yes, the words that come from Him give life and hope, and will lift you up. Read this verse,
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. (Romans 10:17)
When it says “faith” here, it is talking about arrogance, strength, direction, comfort, and all of the things that you need to overcome your doubts and fears. Faith comes through hearing the word of God. So if you need an extra boost, make sure you listen to God’s voice.
Maybe you say, but how do I listen to God’s voice? The answer is through His word (reading the Bible) and coming to His word explained. It’s not about being religious or lovely holy, but a decision to hear what He has to say, and what His advice is for your life.
