Florida, famous for its beautiful beaches and resorts, offers attractions from Miami Beach to Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando. However, the state also faces a persistent challenge: homelessness. An estimated 31,462 individuals in Florida are currently experiencing homelessness.
On September 14th, 2024, Unisocial organized an outreach event with eight volunteers at 1270 North Military Trail, West Palm Beach. They provided hot dogs, soda, water, clothing, and prayers to those in need. Around 50 people attended, receiving support during difficult times.
Pastor Troy McPherson, who participated in the event, noted, “Many were helped.”
He also shared a Bible verse:
For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’
(Matthew 25:35-36)
