Taking Care of Your Appearance

Our Lord and Creator Is the Source of Beauty Because We See It in All His Extraordinary Creations

Taking Care of Your Appearance

Is It Wrong for a Christian Woman to Take Care of Her Appearance? Before talking about the subject of appearance, we need to point out the following.

1 . Inner beauty is the most important.

2 . Outward beauty can be deceiving and make a false impression.

3 . The beauty standards of Christian women are not the same as those of today’s society.

We cannot promote a lack of self-care as a form of being spiritual. Inner beauty is the most important. Nevertheless, we should strive to take care of ourselves and present ourselves nicely because our bodies not only belong to us, but it’s the temple of the Holy Spirit. The Bible says,

“Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?” (1 Corinthians 6:19)

Our Lord and Creator is the source of beauty because we see it in all His extraordinary creations.

The problem is not beautifying oneself but the intentions and purpose of doing so. It is not a sin if the Christian woman wants to care for her appearance for the right reasons as long as there is no vain, unbalanced, and indiscreet intention in dressing up. You may dye or cut your hair, do your nails, shave, do eyebrows, do makeup, exercise, etc.

Caring for oneself, health, and appearance is also part of witnessing our amazing God. It also says about the kindness we carry to ourselves and those around us.
