Nine is significant in the Bible since it is associated with finality or completeness. On Sunday, July 30th, 2023, we will begin our purpose of faith for nine Sundays. It is called Powerful Novena for Healing and Miracles.
This number was used in the Bible on various occasions and would often indicate the end of a cycle or era.
“And at the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?” which means, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” (Mark 15:34).
This signified Jesus completing the mission of His sacrifice on the Cross, which took place in the ninth hour.
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control…” (Galatians 5:22-23).
The ninth hour was when Cornelius had an encounter that would change the trajectory of his life.
“About the ninth hour of the day, he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God coming in and saying to him, “Cornelius!” (Acts 10:3).
