Read Rochelle's Impactful Story
I was working three jobs during that time. I didn’t realize my health was failing. The pain that I had, I thought it was normal and that it would just go away, but instead, it didn’t.
One day, I just fell over, and my heart valve began to close. When they got me to the hospital, my valve had closed 90%.
My mother had to move in with me, and I, because of my health, couldn’t take care of my family. The doctors advised me that I couldn’t even lift a broom to sweep the floor because if I did so, I could lose my life because the valve would finish closing. I said, “I cannot live like this.”
One night, I was lying in bed, and I saw the Showdown of Faith TV Program. He was talking about health—that it could change through faith—and speaking to those facing problems in marriage, and I was listening to this.
I said, “I want to go here. Either I am going to live or I am going to die because I cannot return to my house in the same condition.” When I went to The Universal Church for the first time, I went alone by cab. What I heard in the service made me want to go back.
I began participating in my Chains of Prayer, and my life started changing. I started getting up and going out. When I went to the doctors, they couldn’t believe that it was me who was walking in because I was supposed to be in a wheelchair.
Instead, I came in walking, and he couldn’t believe it. They started running the tests. They gave me a good report that my valves were open and I was doing fine. They said, “Whatever you are doing, continue.”
I even went back to work. My life changed altogether. Today, there is nothing that I cannot conquer, because of my faith in God. My whole life is different.
After reading my Bible, I learned that the Lord Jesus said that we would receive the Holy Spirit. I didn’t just want a healing for my body; I wanted the Holy Spirit inside of me. I wanted the Holy Spirit to use me to win souls.
When I received the Holy Spirit, He let me know that there is nothing too bad for my God that He cannot change it. My faith is different, and my attitude towards people has changed.
Come to The Universal Church, no matter what you are going through, come, and see what we can offer you.
