In Ireland, Unisocial Visits Shelter

The Outreach Took Place at the Crosscare Family Hub in Dublin, Ireland’s Capital, and Brought Hope to Those Served There

In Ireland, Unisocial Visits Shelter

Ireland’s Unisocial program recently visited the Crosscare Family Hub shelter in Dublin, the country’s capital.

• With the support of 27 volunteers, around 40 people received free services such as manicures, eyebrow styling, and haircuts.

• The event also included a games table for adults,  face painting, sweets and balloons for children, and entertainment with clowns.

• Furthermore, all the beneficiaries were able to socialize with a table full of cakes, fruits, juices, coffee, and tea.

“Fulfill What He Asked of Us”

The goal of this outreach was to bring hope through a word of faith, as well as through the services that were offered free of charge.

“God has given us the opportunity to fulfill what He asked of us,”  said Pastor David Gomes, responsible for The Universal Church’s evangelistic work in Ireland, citing Matthew 25:35:

For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in;

“We met many people who are far from their homes, many families who are going through difficult times. Many already have no hope of having a future. And our work reaches them to bring this hope that the world does not give, this confidence that only God can change their lives, even in a foreign land. So, through faith, we lead them to understand that even while living in a shelter, God can change this situation,”  said the pastor.

Comments From Participants

“It is always valuable to participate in these moments. We learned how important it is to care for others. And above all, caring for the souls of those who are lost and having the pleasure of reaching them, talking about Jesus,”  said Unisocial volunteer Cecília Blandina.

“I am very grateful for Unisocial’s visit to our shelter. We always leave with hope that something good will happen in our lives. It’s great to receive care and a word of strength,”  commented Daniela.
