An Initiative in Addis Ababa Has Benefited Families Through Food Distribution and Spiritual Support
In an effort to bring relief to those facing this reality, Unisocial—a community outreach project of The Universal Church—conducted a humanitarian outreach in Addis Ababa on July 13th. Along with distributing food, volunteers provided a message of faith to the families they served.
This was Unisocial’s second initiative in Ethiopia in 2026. Within just an hour and a half, five volunteers distributed more than 300 kilograms of food, benefiting 503 individuals. In total, 164 families received essential items such as rice and wheat flour.
The initiative also conveyed a message based on John 6:27, highlighting the importance of seeking not only physical nourishment but also spiritual sustenance.
Pastor Samuel Macedo, who oversees Unisocial’s evangelistic efforts in the country, emphasized the significance of the initiative, stating, “Actions like these help anywhere, but here they literally save lives.”

Currently, Unisocial conducts one social outreach per month in Ethiopia and aims to expand this work as The Universal Church grows in the country.
