This Wednesday at Universal Church Near You, 8am, 10am, 4pm, and 7pm

The Night of the soul: The Pursuit of the Soul

The Bible says, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked” In this passage from Jeremiah 17:9, the Lord says that the human soul is more deceitful than anything else. This means that when a person does not have the Holy Spirit, he does everything wrong, because he does not act according to the voice of the Spirit, but according to the will of his heart.

There is a Bible verse that says that the heart pursues its will, that is, it wants to satisfy its desires anyway. The heart pursues the human will and thus conflicts with the spirit, which corresponds to what God wants. This means that when a person wants to do God’s Will and follow His Justice, the heart does everything to be contrary to it, no matter the price it will cost.

This is a conflict that everyone carries from birth. When there are family, love, financial conflicts, among others, it is because the spirit is saying one thing, but the heart is chasing another.

It is necessary to understand that when a person dies, his body returns to the earth, but what about the soul? Where does it go? And this is God’s great concern for the people, for He wants to save everyone’s soul. So surrender your soul to the Lord Jesus and thus peace will reign in you. Jesus is waiting to come into you and give you a new soul and a new life.

When a person does not have the Holy Spirit, he does everything wrong, because he does not act according to the voice of the spirit, but according to the will of his heart.
