The End of Sorrow

Many people carry a heavy weight on their souls, feel an inexplicable weariness, and may even have a desire to disappear. It can feel like they are dragging themselves through life just to keep afloat. There’s a heaviness that lingers, even when they aren’t physically carrying anything, and an absence of joy despite having reasons to smile.

How Sadness Hides in Daily Life

Sadness manifests in various ways, and those who experience it often learn to cope. They continue going to work, attending appointments, and fulfilling their obligations. Sometimes, they change their surroundings, meet friends, or try to distract themselves or rest to find temporary relief. However, these methods only disguise the pain for a short time.

Confronting the Root of Sorrow

To truly end sadness, one must confront its root cause. If you choose to believe, the days of your sorrow can be numbered.

This Sunday will mark the end of all sorrow, as the Word of God assures us that He will put an end to it:

Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows… (Isaiah 53:4)

In Gethsemane, Jesus was deeply sorrowful, even to death (Matthew 26:38), so He emptied His soul and received strength. This Sunday, you too will receive that strength.
