Bringing Joy to the City Through Unity and Support

Jacksonville’s Unisocial: A Community in Action

Unisocial hosts a community event focused on relaxation and enjoyment in Jacksonville, FL, featuring sports activities, blood donation, and soup distribution on August 17th, 2024.

Jacksonville, FL—Urban Parks City

Jacksonville is home to the largest urban park system in the nation, boasting 80,000 acres of parks, including 405 city parks, 7 state parks, and 2 national park sites. Despite this expansive green space, Jacksonville has struggled with a high violent crime rate. However, there is good news: the city’s murder rate has decreased by 40% since the beginning of 2023.

Bringing Fun to the Community

On August 17th, 2024, at 11 AM, Unisocial hosted an event aimed at helping the community and families relax and enjoy themselves. The event featured bounce houses, youth basketball, volleyball, a blood donation bus, and a soup kitchen. Additionally, clothing, toys, and other essentials were distributed to give back to the community. Thanks to the efforts of 20 dedicated volunteers, over 150 people attended this special event.

Promoting Unity

Pastor Guilherme Ribeiro remarked, “The event aimed to support families and the community. With the rise in crime in Jacksonville, many people are feeling afraid or lost. We offered prayers for peace and unity.”
