Volunteers From Night Angels and Help Project Hosted an Event to Help the Homeless by Providing Soup
On August 20th, 2024, at 8 PM, ten volunteers from Night Angels and Help Project hosted an event to help the homeless by providing soup. Jacksonville’s Night Angels provide weekly support to the homeless.
In Jacksonville, you will find the most extensive urban park system in the country, with 80,000 acres covering 405 city parks, 7 state parks, 2 national park sites, and an arboretum. Despite this abundance of green space, the city faces significant challenges with homelessness. JaxToday says, “The number of unsheltered people in Jacksonville is estimated at 566, although city officials believe the actual number is likely higher.” This marks a 43% increase compared to 2023.
On August 20th, 2024, at 8 PM, ten volunteers from Night Angels and Help Project hosted an event to help the homeless by providing soup. Approximately 100 people attended to receive a meal. Night Angels provide weekly support to the homeless.
Pastor Guilherme Ribeiro shared,
“Every Tuesday we distribute food for the homeless and those in need. We aim to help those in some difficulties and as well distribute clothes to those who have been without.”
