How Long?

Read and Meditate on Today’s Message

How long, O Lord? Will You forget me forever?
How long will You hide Your face from me?
How long shall I take counsel in my soul,
Having sorrow in my heart daily?
How long will my enemy be exalted over me? (Psalm 13:1-2)

 
People who do not have the Holy Spirit do not know how to wait confidently on God’s promises, and they keep complaining, as if the Lord were a waiter to serve them whenever they want.

The righteous do not worry about their enemies or what others will think of them; they are focused on pleasing their Lord. They live in deserts, but they believe in His constant presence, which protects them from evil, for they always trust in what He has promised in His Word.
