This Wednesday, November 27th, at The Universal Church, we will have the Lord’s Supper of Friendship with God, a moment in which we will invest in our communion with the Almighty.
(…) I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you. (John 15:15)
The Lord’s Supper is the most important ceremony in the life of a Christian, as it is the moment in which you can establish a covenant with God through the body and blood of the Lord Jesus, represented by the piece of bread and grape juice.
And when He had taken some bread and given thanks, He broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of Me.” And in the same way He took the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood.” (Luke 22:19-20)
The Lord’s Super symbolizes recognition, surrender, and communion with our Lord Jesus. It is the moment when you, as a Christian, strengthen your communion with God. However, to participate in the Holy Supper, we need to examine ourselves—since to sit at the table with God, we must first abandon our sinful lives to obey the Scriptures.
