The Caleb Group Promoted the 3rd Edition of ‘Helping Is Good,’ a Movement That Brings Love and Hope to the Elderly
This initiative is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for our beloved elderly community members.
The Caleb Group‘s commitment extends beyond the church into the community. The ‘Helping Is Good’ movement had the primary aim to:
• Increase visits to the elderly
• Assist them in gaining a better quality of life
• Bring spiritual strength to those who live alone
‘You shall stand up in the presence of the grayheaded and honor elders, and you shall fear your God; I am the Lord. (Leviticus 19:32)
During September 2024, Caleb Group volunteers and members engaged in various activities, including:
• Home Visits: Bringing care and companionship directly to elders in their homes.
• Nursing Home Visits: Spending quality time with residents and providing emotional support.
• Hospital Visits: Offering encouragement and comfort to those under medical care.
• Beauty/Makeover: Helping elders feel beautiful and confident.
• Board Games: Spending time playing games and having fun.
• Luncheons/Afternoon Tea: Sharing meals and enjoying pleasant conversations.
• Spending Time Talking: Simply being there to listen and talk.
Join us in making a difference in the lives of our elders. Together, we can ensure they feel cherished and valued in our community. Join forces with your friends and within your circle of family, friends, and local community, reach out to the elders together.
