Heirs of God

Read and Meditate on Today’s Message

The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together. (Romans 8:16-17)

 
The Holy Spirit Himself confirms in our being that we are children of God. Many want to be children, but cannot bear to suffer in the wilderness, in persecutions and humiliations because of the Gospel. If we do not suffer for Him, neither will we be glorified by Him. It is worthwhile to go through afflictions and have our names written in the Book of Life, to live eternity with Him in Heaven.
