Don’t Quit Now

Quitters Can’t See the Kingdom of God

Don't Quit

Have you ever worked for something so hard, and in the end, it paid off? Anything in life that’s worth something requires hard work. Whether that be a job, raising a family, enhancing your education, etc. So don’t quit now.

I’m sure you can remember the joy you felt when you received your diploma, the call back from your dream job, or seeing your child take their first steps.

These landmark moments in life didn’t just appear; instead, you worked for them. For our souls, it requires much more work. Working for our soul is an ongoing mission. There’s no diploma at the end, no big promotion, no photo moment, but there is eternal peace worth fighting for.

“And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice and yielded up His spirit. Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth quaked, and the rocks were split, …and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many.” (Matthew 27:50-51,53)

The Lord Jesus cried out because His burden was so heavy, but He never gave up, and as a result, today, we reap the reward of His sacrifice. Our job is not done, but we can’t quit now. Quitters can’t see the kingdom of God. You will face hard days, and there will be moments when it seems like giving up is easier, but never forget the reward that awaits you. Give yourself up to God. He will give you the strength to make it to the end.

May the God of the Bible bless you!

-Bishop Joshua
