Despising

Read and Meditate on Today’s Message

Then Jacob said, ‘Swear to me as of this day.’ So he swore to him, and sold his birthright to Jacob. And Jacob gave Esau bread and stew of lentils; then he ate and drank, arose, and went his way. Thus Esau despised his birthright. (Genesis 25:33-34)

 
Those who desire and receive the blessing of the birthright guard it as a treasure of incalculable value; they do not exchange it for anything in this world and do everything to avoid losing it. They watch and improve themselves in the Word of God to preserve the salvation of their soul, for the Lord Jesus purchased this salvation at a high price, passing through death on the cross.

Do not despise it, for your entrance into the Kingdom of Heaven will depend on it.
