Perfect Love

Read and Meditate on Today’s Message

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. We love Him because He first loved us. (1 John 4:18-19)

 
We learn from the Lord Jesus that, on the cross, He revealed true love. This love believes all things, suffers all things, hopes all things, endures all things, does not burn with jealousy, and never ends. The love that comes from faith comes from Heaven, very different from the love of the world, which is full of hatred, revenge and selfishness and soon ends.

Those who receive the Holy Spirit are not afraid to love or surrender themselves for this love, and they do not expect anything in return. This love is a consequence of God’s presence: the person gives without expecting to receive, because they are imbued with God, the Perfect Love.
