Caleb Group’s Visit to Complete Care Rehabilitation Center

On Saturday, September 14th, 2024, members of the Caleb Group visited the Complete Care Rehabilitation Center in East Orange, NJ. The team of six volunteers provided spiritual support by offering prayers, anointing the residents, reading Bible verses, and distributing blessed water and newspapers. Afterward, they engaged the residents with a bingo game, handing out gift bags to winners that included personal hygiene products and a biblical puzzle book. The remaining residents received either a puzzle book, bath soap, or socks. Approximately 15 residents participated in the event.

A Message of Hope

Bishop Reginald Phillip expressed his satisfaction with the event, stating, “To put God first in their lives. Because many of them although they have family, kids, children, many developed grudge or resentment against family members, especially against children, because they haven’t been in a home, haven’t been placed in a home and it seems like they have been forgotten over there. But they are not. If they put God first in the light, God will give them power. To be his children, a child of God. This is greater than anything. The God that created them after his image has not forgotten them. They are not forgotten.”

He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.’ ” And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.
(John 1:10-16)
