They Did Not See or Hear

Read and Meditate on Today’s Message

For you have not come to the mountain that may be touched and that burned with fire, and to blackness and darkness and tempest, and the sound of a trumpet and the voice of words, so that those who heard it begged that the word should not be spoken to them anymore. (Hebrews 12:18-19)

 
The Hebrew people saw and heard God speak. His voice made the mountain tremble; there was fire, darkness, and a tempest—a great display of power.

Instead of kneeling and worshipping Him, they preferred to ask that only Moses listen to Him.

But those who know Him and surrender to Him, asking forgiveness for their sins, desire to hear His voice every day to gain wisdom through His words and follow the path of good, which leads them to all truth.
