Losing in order to win2 min read

In the world there is a competition. In any place you go in society and even in the family, there is a competition; one wants to be better than the other. If they want to grow, and if they have to climb your shoulders, they are going to do it. They do not save strength, they do whatever it takes, and they are ready to live and die to be in the first place. Those who live by faith do not want to be better than anybody, but they want to do the best for the Lord. For example, among your coworkers, do not try to be better than they are. What you have to do in your job is to put 100% of your strength, and the growth and honor will come from the Lord.

However, in this world it is different: they fight to be number one, and they don’t care if they have to gossip, create stories, badmouth you, be dishonest, bribe, accept bribes, and to commit fraud. Jesus warns us through His word: “you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’ — and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked” (Revelation 3.17) Some people go to church, do a chain of prayer, give tithes and offerings, and they start prospering. However, when they think that they are on the top they say, “Now I am rich and have need of nothing … I am too tired to go to the chain of prayer.” God wants you to be rich towards Him, not towards your bank and savings account. He wants you to be rich to glorify His name here on Earth.

To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne …” (Rev 3.21) To overcome what? Yourself. When there is a competition among the workers, you will not be involved in that. You do not want to sit on their seats but with Jesus on His throne. That is why He said here: “as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.” (Rev 3.21) What do you want: to sit on the throne of the king of this world or to sit with Jesus on His throne? To sit with Jesus on His throne is only for those who overcome, those who say no to themselves and say yes to the Lord, who do not accept dirty money and illegal business and do not get involved with lies. Sometimes because you want fast money, even knowing it is wrong, you do not overcome and you fail before God. I tell you more: that money becomes a curse in your hand. “To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne …” (Rev 3.21) The decision is yours.
