Do you know that lack of enthusiasm we feel every now and then? Well, sometimes it’s normal due to many factors in our daily lives, such as rushing to meet deadlines and stress. What about when you are lacking enthusiasm all the time? That has a name: laziness.
Laziness is a silent and subtle enemy that disguises itself as “lack of time.” It hinders the life of a person, paralyzes projects and delays dreams. However, denying and avoiding the subject of laziness will get us nowhere.
You may even say: “I am not lazy.” However, the best way to defend ourselves from laziness is by knowing it, identifying it and attacking it.
Take a look at the tips below to identify and get rid of laziness. Stop and think: in what areas of your life it has installed itself?
• Perhaps in your closet, because that dream of organizing never takes place. Make a plan to organize your clothes once a week; take the pieces that need repair to a tailor, donate the ones you no longer use and separate the remaining pieces by style or color.
• In your professional life: the résumé that never reaches its destination, the project that is behind schedule, the stack of accumulated documents, etc. Avoid getting distracted and face the challenge of establishing a career of success.
• In your relationship: you do not make efforts to better your relationship with your family, and you make no efforts to improve your love life. Begin participating in the Love Therapy on Thursdays for your love life and family. There you will learn valuable lessons; take the opportunity to put them into practice.
• Perhaps, laziness lives in your room and never lets you get out of bed on time.
A wise man once said, “Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest. How long will you lie there, you sluggard? When will you get up from your sleep?” (Proverbs 6:6-9)
Let’s get up right now and toss all laziness far away; solve everything that needs to be solved and do all that needs to be done, step by step. Do not wait until you have the motivation to do it; just get it done.
Do not be a prisoner of laziness. Let’s learn to be like the ants; they are always moving, working and reaping the good results of their efforts.
