Work Out Your Salvation

Work Out Your Salvation

The apostle Paul teaches the church to grow into spiritual maturity. He is not speaking about earning salvation, but about living it out—allowing what God has done within us to be expressed through obedience and fear.

Paul emphasizes that obedience should not depend on his physical presence. True spiritual maturity is seen when believers remain faithful even when no one is watching.

Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; (Philippians 2:12)

To work out your salvation means it must be developed daily, exercised through obedience to what we have learned and received.

The fear of God does not mean terror, but holy reverence—a continual awareness that we live in God’s presence.

May the God of the Bible bless you!
