If you are thirsty to have the Holy Spirit in your life, you will be satisfied because He is a promise of the Lord Jesus. Nothing in this world that can interrupt God’s plan for those who thirst for Him, as Jesus said in John 7:37-39:
“If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”
Only the Holy Spirit can convince and bring joy and satisfaction to a person. After all, Jesus defined Him as the Comforter Spirit, and that when He came, He would convince people of righteousness, judgment, and sin (John 16:8). In other words, when the Holy Spirit comes into a person’s life, only He can convince them of who they are and what they have to do. Therefore, you should not ask anyone whether or not you have the Holy Spirit—in fact, doubt is already a bad sign that, in reality, you do not have Him.
Do not base your faith on the words of others but rather on what comes from the Holy Spirit, for He speaks what is intelligent and rational. The Holy Spirit is the One who can convince a person of what they should or should not do without leaving any doubts, and this applies not only to your spiritual life but also to other decision-making.
The Holy Spirit is the One who convinces you whether to say yes or no. So, live in this dependence on God, who is the Father—and He will guide you, for He delights in instructing His children.
Do not listen to the voices of doubt—which the devil uses to make us indecisive regarding our actions. Instead, consider what the Lord Jesus said:
(…) when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; (John 16:13)
Therefore, apply the Word of God in your life and depend solely on Him, and you will notice the difference this decision will make in your life.
