Located in the City of Kani, the Temple Welcomed Around 400 People for This Special Gathering
On September 8th, a new regional headquarters of The Universal Church was inaugurated in Japan.
Located in Kani, the temple welcomed around 400 people, who filled the main hall and an adjoining space.
On that occasion, Bishop Alexandre Teixeira, who is responsible for the evangelistic work of The Universal Church in Japan, reflected on the brevity of life, reading the passage from the Bible in James 4:14:
“Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. For you are just a vapor that appears for a little while, and then vanishes away.”
“It seems like yesterday we were children; today we no longer have head hair. See how life is a vapor; there are things we can do or decide later, but when it comes to spiritual life, the decision must be made today,” said the bishop. During the prayer, many decided to give their lives to God.
The new temple opened its doors so that everyone, during the meetings, would learn how to take care of their most precious asset: their soul.
Young Ana Morioka had been unchurched. However, she decided to participate in this special event and shared her experience with God during the meeting.
“The day of the inauguration was very blessed. I had been far from God, and on that occasion, I felt like I was returning home. He hugged me and spoke to me a lot during the meeting,” she said.
Mrs. Ana Hokama has been congregating with The Universal Church for 15 years. She remembered what it was like in the beginning.
“Participating in this inauguration made me very happy when I remembered that, 15 years ago, it was a prayer with few people on the second floor of a building. Today, I am here with the congregants, assistants, and guests celebrating the church’s inauguration in such a well-located, beautiful, spacious, and comfortable place. This brings me joy and satisfaction, being in the presence of God and experiencing all this. In the meeting, when the bishop called us to go to the front of the altar, I had a unique experience, I felt I had a one-on-one moment with God,” she said.
The Universal Church is currently present in 148 countries. If you would like to learn more about its evangelistic work in Japan, visit their official Instagram (click here).
