On Saturday, March 1st, six Unisocial volunteers hosted an event for The Belt Atlantic Apartments community in Richmond, Virginia. Pastor Edward and his wife Mrs. Buthelezi and the Unisocial volunteers distributed grocery items, clothing, and hot dogs, and most importantly, provided words of encouragement and faith, listening ears, and sincere prayers for the families and the community.
“We are in one of Richmond’s apartment projects to do the Unisocial. We are here to help the community. We prayed for them and are sure God will bless them,” shared Pastor Buthelezi.
“Honestly, I feel it is a blessing to people, to kids, to the community to have someone come back and give out to anybody that’s in need,” shared a community resident.
“The residents really appreciate all the donations, the clothing, and the food. We had a great turnout today. And we just want to thank you here at The Belt Atlantic for providing your time and donations to the residents here,” thanked the community representative.
Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. (Galatians 6:2)
This message is at the core of Unisocial: to serve God by serving the community and guiding each neighbor to see the love and care of the Lord Jesus.
