An Event Held at the Bogotá Stadium Also Featured Dance, Music, and a Message of Faith and Perseverance for 34,100 Attendees
On Saturday, May 24th, starting at 3 PM, the Colombian capital hosted a historic event: Todo Nuevo Solidario. Held at the Nemesio Camacho El Campín Stadium in Bogotá, the gathering attracted 34,100 participants, far surpassing the previous attendance record of 12,000 from the last edition. Promoted by The Universal Church, the event combined artistic expressions, faith, and solidarity, creating a day of hope and transformation.
During the event, Unisocial—a community outreach project of The Universal Church—organized a major campaign that resulted in the collection of 142 tons of non-perishable food. This food will be distributed to vulnerable families across Colombia. Bishop Alberto Leão, who oversees the evangelistic work of The Universal Church in Colombia, emphasized that through Unisocial’s initiatives, over 52,000 families have already benefited. He attended the event alongside his wife, Manuela Leão.
Early in the day, groups from various cities in Colombia gathered around the stadium. The program kicked off with performances by marching bands from local schools, followed by creative and inspiring presentations by young performers from Mega Dance 2025, organized by the FJU (also known as Youth Power Group) at the same venue. A Colombian dance group also showcased a choreography featuring over 100 dancers. Local and national authorities were present at the event.
The most reflective moment of Todo Nuevo Solidario was led by Bishop Julio Freitas, who oversees the evangelistic work of The Universal Church in Argentina. On a missionary visit to Colombia with his wife, Viviane Freitas, he shared a message of faith with those present, highlighting the power of God to rescue lives from darkness and make everything new.
“God brought us to the Campín stadium to experience the Light of Life. No matter our emotional, physical, or spiritual state, there is a way out when we place our faith in the Almighty,” he declared. The bishop also led a prayer for the healing and protection of families, discussing themes such as forgiveness and inner transformation: “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. Old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new,” he reminded attendees.
For Bishop Alberto, Todo Nuevo Solidario instilled a renewed sense of hope among Colombians: “I saw happiness in the faces of those in need, knowing that there is a God who can solve everything,” he stated. “The impact of the event on the country is tremendous. Never before has an institution achieved such numbers: 142 tons of non-perishable food in a single day.” He also mentioned that more social initiatives are planned: “The next step is to extend this action to major cities and states, spreading the message of hope and salvation throughout Colombia.”
