Those Who Do Good Reap Good

Now it happened one day that Elisha went to Shunem, where there was a notable woman, and she persuaded him to eat some food. So it was, as often as he passed by, he would turn in there to eat some food. (2 Kings 4:8)

 
Recognizing that Elisha was a man of God, this woman invited him to enter her home and eat not only that day, but also every time he passed by. One day, she convinced her husband to build a room for the prophet to rest during his travels.

Elisha, grateful, prayed for her to have a son, and when the boy grew older, he died. That woman’s faith in God was so great that she went to Elisha to intercede on behalf of the boy, and he was restored to life. She did good for the man of God, and he blessed her, giving life to her son. Those who give will receive.
