The Universal Church Is Celebrating Its 11th Anniversary in Haiti

The Universal Church is celebrating 11 years of evangelistic work in Haiti. Since it arrived in the country in 2014, The Universal Church has been spreading the Gospel and supporting Haitians in a nation affected by economic challenges and violence.

This support is offered through various social programs targeting different segments of society, such as the Youth Power Group (YPG) for teenagers and young adults, the Caleb Group for seniors, and the Teen Power Group (TPG) for preteens.

A Journey of Faith

The Universal Church Is Celebrating Its 11th Anniversary in HaitiThe Universal Church began its work in Haiti on March 30th, 2014, with its national headquarters in Delmas. The country has been historically considered the poorest in the Western Hemisphere, a significant and overwhelming challenge to its people.

Pastor Gilberto Hora, who has overseen the evangelistic efforts of The Universal Church in the country for five years, remarked that it was initially very challenging to help people due to communication barriers, as the primary language spoken is Haitian Creole. However, he noted that faith became a crucial source of learning the local language, enabling them to overcome this barrier.

He added, “Despite the civil war and ongoing conflicts, the Work of God continues to grow. The hand of God has guided The Universal Church here, and we remain confident that, regardless of the circumstances, the work will advance. We consistently pray for God’s protection over the country and the growth of His work.”
