The Universal Church Arrives in Samoa

Discover the Country Where New Doors of Faith Are Opening

The Universal Church Arrives in Samoa

Samoa, an island nation in Oceania, is celebrated for its natural beauty, rich culture, and deep Christian roots. With a population of approximately 220,000, the Samoan way of life is strongly centered around faith, family, and community. Christianity has been an integral part of Samoa since the 1830s, forming a cornerstone of national identity.

Open Doors

After over two years of prayers and visits from evangelists of The Universal Church, a temple was inaugurated in Samoa on June 15. Bishop Flávio Correia, who oversees evangelistic work in New Zealand, was present at the event.

Pastor Fábio Ribeiro, responsible for the evangelistic work of The Universal Church in Samoa, expressed that the church serves as a place of worship and a refuge for those seeking spiritual guidance, prayer, and support. The Universal Church in Samoa is open daily, with meetings held at 10 AM, 4 PM, and 6 PM.

The pastor explains, “Although this country has an evangelical background, many people struggle with addictions, family issues, and significant social inequality from a young age. The Universal Church has come to this country to bring the light of God’s Word to everyone.”

In addition to providing spiritual care within the church, The Universal Church in Samoa also extends its services to homes and hospitals, bringing the Word of God and emotional support to those unable to attend meetings in person.

The First of Many

During the inauguration, the biblical passage 2 Chronicles 7:15-16 was referenced:

Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place. For now I have chosen and sanctified this house, that My name may be there forever; and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually.

Bishop Correia emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating, “We believe this is the first of many doors that The Universal Church will open in Samoa. Our mission is to reach all the inhabitants of the islands surrounding Samoa, bringing faith, healing, and hope to every person, family, and village. We invite everyone to come and be a part of this journey. Whether you are seeking answers, support, or a deeper connection with God, The Universal Church is here for you.”
