On Fridays, Every Location of the Universal Church Holds a Chain of Prayer Dedicated to Deliverance From Spiritual Attacks
On Fridays, every location of The Universal Church holds a Chain of Prayer dedicated to deliverance from spiritual attacks and freedom from negative cycles. Messages and prayers focus on revealing and defeating the works of evil with the spiritual tools of faith taught in the Word of God, therefore achieving true deliverance, freedom, and inner peace.
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. (John 10:10)
On Friday, November 1st, before ministering the strong prayer for deliverance, Bishop Joshua explained how satan works to cause distress, fear, and destruction in people’s lives. He mentioned Job’s example from the Bible, who experienced and described a spiritual attack.
“Maybe you say, ‘I think it is fake when people say they have paranormal activities, see faces, hear noises, and see shadows.’ Perhaps you say, ‘I don’t think it is real.’ What happens is this: The fallen angels expelled from Heaven are now the demons, and they are the ones who attack people. Actually, a man called Job from the Bible experienced paranormal activities,” clarified the bishop.
In disquieting thoughts from the visions of the night, When deep sleep falls on men, fear came upon me, and trembling, Which made all my bones shake. Then a spirit passed before my face; the hair on my body stood up. It stood still, But I could not discern its appearance. A form was before my eyes; There was silence; Then I heard a voice saying… (Job 4:13-16)
“This spirit with a small letter mentioned here is an evil spirit, not the Holy Spirit. What do you need to do: Right away, you need to use the name of Jesus, and you have to say, ‘Satan, I rebuke you in the name of Jesus!’ You cannot say a soft prayer. When satan comes, he comes to destroy. So when you fight against the devil spiritually, you must use all your strength,” explained the bishop.
Bishop Joshua, together with bishops, pastors, and assistants, prayed for the congregation for spiritual freedom and deliverance, for those who could not sleep due to insomnia and nightmares, and for those who experienced paranormal activities. After the prayer, Kisha shared her story.
“I used to see shadows and hear voices. I would hear a whole bunch of different voices. It got so bad that as soon as it got dark in my house, I couldn’t stay there. I just felt fear. I was so scared. And it was really bad; even if I tried to close my eyes, I used to see scary faces. And I couldn’t even sleep. It was like being in hell. That’s what it felt like for me.
I would say it probably happened for a year. It also happened when I was a kid, and my mom used to tell me that people in the family also experienced it.
I started coming to The Universal Church on Fridays. I gave my life over to God and took the Friday Chain of Prayer extremely seriously. I was here and learned how to use my faith in God’s Word, and I actively participated in everything. I did it all, and God delivered me. I’m free.
Now I have peace. I have peace in my home and inside of me. I sleep like a baby every night. Everything is just so peaceful in my life now. I’m not scared of anything anymore—No more fear!”
Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. (James 4:7)
Bishop Joshua emphasized the importance of the Word of God, the strong prayer, and the tools of faith in fighting spiritually against all evil.
“If we do not resist the devil, he appears, and satan will make sure to do his dirty games. But we are not into satan’s game,” concluded the bishop.
