This past Sunday, Bishop Joshua invited everyone to join our Wednesday service and become a true fragrance of Christ.
“When we spray perfume on us it smells good. But we forget that something had to be sacrificed in order for us to have that perfume in our possession. For example, flowers, spices, and herbs are pressed to extract their aroma. Those who like to drink orange juice don’t remember that those oranges had to be squeezed and hard-pressed to become that delicious drink.
For us to become a fragrance of Christ, it’s not different. We are going to be hard-pressed everywhere. That’s why you need to have intelligent faith rather than emotional faith. If you have emotional faith, it does not serve you when you need to use it. Why?Because at that moment, your emotional faith will cry and melt like snow. On the other hand, having intelligent faith makes you understand that you will be squeezed. But a good smell will come out of you. Who wants to be a fragrance of Christ? Get ready to be hard-pressed.” (Bishop Joshua)
The Word of God warns us of the trials to come and the need to persevere:
“Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice in as much as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you.” (1 Peter 4:12-14)
