The Journey of Faith

See Details About the Fourth Day of the Journey of Faith

The Journey of Faith

From Monday to Friday at 2 AM CT / 3 AM ET during live broadcast, Bishop Joshua, with bishops and pastors from all over the USA, unite to pray on behalf of those who determined that 2024 is the year to receive the Holy Spirit and to have a life that honors God, for those who want to glorify God with their lives.

In this Journey of Faith, we will learn from two heroes of Faith: Abraham and Hannah, Prophet Samuel’s mother. Both were childless, and from the moment they changed their focus to honoring God with their lives and placed their faith, obedience, and trust in the Creator, they experienced what it is to live the dreams of God and fulfill His purpose for their lives.

A Powerful Testimony

Thursday, June 20th, was the fourth day of this Journey of Faith. Bishop Joshua shared the video testimony of Carole Zuniga, who came from a broken home. From the young age of 13, Carole was filled with resentment and anger growing up and dived into addiction and nightlife to cope with the pain and frustration. Inspired by her husband’s desire to change, she came to The Universal Church and learned about the Holy Spirit. Carole learned to let go, surrender all her life on the Altar, and give her life to God to live for His honor. She received the Holy Spirit. Today, Carole has peace and strength. She has a new life, completely transformed.

Hannah Made a Vow

Bishop Joshua mentioned Hannah from the Bible, who had a sorrowful spirit. She was a believer, but she was sorrowful. Hannah poured out her soul before the Lord, to the point that Priest Eli thought she was drunk.

But Hannah answered and said, “No, my lord, I am a woman of sorrowful spirit. I have drunk neither wine nor intoxicating drink, but have poured out my soul before the LORD. (1 Samuel 1:15)

“This is what we are going to do early in the morning. We are going to pour our souls before the Lord just as Hannah did. All pastors will gather to cry out to God so that your life may change, so that your life may be transformed.” (Bishop Joshua)

Then Eli answered and said, “Go in peace, and the God of Israel grant your petition which you have asked of Him.” She said, “Let your maidservant find favor in your sight.” So the woman went her way and ate, and her face was no longer sad. (1 Samuel 1:17-18)

“You see that her sorrowful spirit changed as soon as she came to the Altar. The life on the Altar made her spirit change. The Holy Spirit came to her. The Holy Spirit changed her life.” (Bishop Marcio)

Then she made a vow and said, “O LORD of hosts, if You will indeed look on the affliction of Your maidservant and remember me, and not forget Your maidservant, but will give Your maidservant a male child, then I will give him to the LORD all the days of his life…” (1 Samuel 1:11)

“She made a vow. And everything changed when she made that powerful vow. She decided to make that vow to God that the son that she will have will serve God. And you know how many people there are going through a situation in which they are crying? They have a sorrowful spirit, but the situation is going to change when they make a powerful vow, just like Hannah did.” (Pastor Arturo)

I love those who love me, And those who seek me diligently will find me. (Proverbs 8:17)

As Hannah prayed, Bishop Joshua invited the viewers to join him in prayer and pour out their souls before the Lord. As God did in Hannah’s life, He will do in their lives as well for the glory of the Lord Jesus! Bishop Joshua invited the viewers to read and meditate on the story of Abraham and also Hannah in the Bible. As God provided for them, He will provide today in the lives of those who put their trust in Him.
