For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. (1 Thessalonians 4:15)

The Word of God says that at the coming of Jesus, so awaited by His chosen ones, those who are already with Him will be resurrected first and will come with Him in the clouds. Only then will the living be raptured, not experiencing death; they will be saved directly into the Kingdom of Heaven.
