This Sunday, November 10th, You Are Going to Shout the Shout of Faith, and the Lord Jesus Is Going to Bless Your Life
November 1st to the 10th, for ten days, at every location of The Universal Church, we will use our faith in God’s Word against the walls of problems and obstacles in our lives.
Now Jericho was securely shut up because of the children of Israel; none went out, and none came in. (Joshua 6:1)
After overcoming the impossible in Egypt and crossing the sea and the desert, the next generation of the children of Israel walked through a miraculous dry pathway in the Jordan River and headed into the Promised Land. After overcoming so many humanly impossible problems, they faced another challenge.
Challenges arise because satan tries to stop the people of God from taking possession of His promises. Evil knows that when the people of God achieve victory, their lives glorify God. Bishop Bira Joshua explains how evil plots against God’s people.
“Because of you, satan creates problems. We face it, we see it. That’s why people say, ‘What others get easily, for me, is very difficult. For me, it is too hard.’ Satan is building walls against us. What do we need to do? We have to march. The Lord said for the people to march. And the enemy soldiers on the top of the wall thought the people marching were crazy. But that people overcame their obstacles,” explained the bishop.
When people face seemingly impossible challenges, many resort to praying, asking for prayers, and pleading with God for mercy. However, Bishop Joshua explains that victory comes from exercising our faith and trust in the Word of God and having an attitude of revolt against the situation.
“There comes a time in life not for prayers, not for supplications, but there comes a time in life for revolt… That was the situation of the people of God. When they saw the wall of Jericho, it caused a revolt, indignation, and frustration, and those people at that moment could not pray. They could not just say, ‘O Lord, have mercy on me.’ Many are always praying the same prayer daily. Let me tell you, there comes a time in life when we need to shout! Literally, we need to shout,” exclaimed the bishop.
So the people shouted when the priests blew the trumpets. And it happened when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat… (Joshua 6:20)
When reading this verse, many envision the wall crumbling. However, Bishop Joshua highlights that the Bible mentions the wall fell down flat. It did not crumble but fell flat, allowing the children of Israel to march over it into the Promised Land. The bishop then emphasizes the importance of using the authority God gave us through His Son Jesus and His Word to shout against the wall of problems we are facing by faith.
“We need to shout! And the walls, the bricks, the blocks will hear our voice, and this problem of yours, in Jesus’ name, will fall! When they shouted the shout of victory, the walls fell. So their biggest obstacle now was under their feet,” said the bishop.
The walls of Jericho today are the spiritual obstacles and the spiritual barriers that try to block God’s people from moving forward. What have been the setbacks and barriers you have been facing?
• Losses
• Anxiety
• An impossible case
• An injustice
• Blocked money
• Financial stagnation
• Delayed documents
• Reoccurring health issues
“Regardless of what you are facing, do not give up on yourself! On Sunday at 10 AM, we will shout against the walls. It’s not against a city. It’s not against a man. It’s not against an institution. It’s not against the landlord or a bank. We are not fighting against institutions or human beings. We are fighting against the evil spirit that built walls around you. We are going to shout the shout of victory against the problem. And this wall in Jesus’ name will fall down,” exclaimed the bishop.
We invite you to write on a piece of paper the walls you have been facing and bring it to The Universal Church this Sunday, November 10th, at 10 AM. Come as you are.
“Even the Lord Jesus had to use the Word to say, ‘It is written,’ and He overcame satan by using the Word. You will use the Word of God, the Promise, and this wall will fall. This Sunday, you are going to shout the shout of faith, and the Lord is going to bless your life,” concluded the bishop, making this special invitation to all, regardless of background or religion. All are welcome.
