The Holy Spirit is God, and He is everywhere. He is omnipresent and omniscient. He knows all our struggles, misfortunes, successes, sadness, and joys. He knows our thoughts and what we will think in the future because He is omnipotent. However, the most incredible is that He reveals Himself to those who truly desire Him with all their heart, mind, strength, and soul. When someone expresses this desire, He comes and takes up residence within them.
The apostle Paul says that whoever has the Holy Spirit exudes the good perfume of Jesus Christ on Earth. Jesus compares the Holy Spirit to the Kingdom of Heaven, like a hidden treasure that makes the person who finds that treasure sell everything they have to acquire it. That is why, to receive Him, total surrender is required.
Just as we fall in love with someone and do everything to be with them, the same should happen with the desire for the Holy Spirit. Jesus sacrificed everything to guarantee our Salvation, and God demands the same surrender from us.
It’s like a true marriage, which is based on surrender and commitment: the Holy Spirit wants to unite with you, but you need to give yourself completely to Him.
So understand: with God, it is all or nothing; either it is or it isn’t. God is looking for sincere people willing to give up everything to receive Him, and when someone gives themselves completely, He comes upon them. It is now up to you to make that decision.
