A Powerful Event on Sunday, December 22nd at 10 AM
Depression is the leading cause of mood disorders worldwide, according to the World Health Organization. It contributes to over 700 thousand deaths by suicide each year. In 2023, the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation reported that 280 million people around the globe suffer from depression. This condition often worsens during the holiday season.
For some, the end-of-the-year holidays bring loneliness, anxiety, and profound sadness, a phenomenon commonly referred to as holiday blues or holiday depression. If you are experiencing these feelings, remember you are not alone, and there is a path to inner healing as promised in God’s Word:
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. (Psalm 147:3)
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28)
(…) the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out. (John 6:37)
Regardless of your past or circumstances or how deep in the pit you find yourself, join us this Sunday for a powerful event that will bring these Divine promises into your life.
During the Showdown of Faith TV Program, Bishop Bira Joshua made a special call to those experiencing the holiday blues and who thirst for God’s deliverance, peace, and a fresh start in life:
“On Sunday, December 22nd, we are going to have a day to Shake Off the Holiday Blues. Perhaps, you say, ‘I have got the blues.’ You are always sad and depressed and even want to take your life due to this depression. You don’t know what to do anymore. During the holidays, you have no meaning in life. Everything for you is just gray. You have these blues in your life, in your soul. You cannot think straight. You cannot function well. Nowadays, even kids suffer from depression. They’re always angry.
This Sunday, December 22nd, we are going to be at The Universal Church praying for you. The Lord Jesus will deliver you. You are going to be free from the holiday blues! Watch the story of Cindy, who had depression, saw her dead father, and also went to witch doctors, which did not solve the depression, the disease of the soul. Today, she’s free.”
