Self-Reliant

Read and Meditate on Today’s Message

He has said in his heart, ‘I shall not be moved;
I shall never be in adversity.’
His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and oppression;
Under his tongue is trouble and iniquity. (Psalm 10:6-7)

 
A self-reliant person believes they will never fail and considers themselves highly capable of survival and independence. Always cursing, deceiving, and using cunning, they have a malicious, spiteful tongue. They don’t see themselves as miserable sinners in dire need of God’s mercy. If you are one of these, humble yourself before God and call upon Him with sincerity, and you will see the true life that is in Jesus!
