Bishop Macedo is currently on a series of missionary trips throughout Europe. On Wednesday, July 23rd, he visited the Netherlands to host the Night of Salvation.

The meeting took place in The Hague and drew approximately 1,200 attendees. Several people were first-time visitors, and many traveled from various cities to participate.

Opening Prayer

Bishop Macedo began the meeting with a prayer, inviting everyone present to raise their thoughts to the Almighty. This opening moment was grounded in the biblical promise:

For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them. (Matthew 18:20)

“Prayer is fundamental because it is our communication with the Father. Jesus instructs us to pray without ceasing. Regardless of the circumstances, anyone who sincerely cries out to Him will be heard and answered by the Holy Spirit. However, the effectiveness of prayer depends on each person’s sincerity,” he explained.

The Word of God and Obedience

He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him. (John 14:21)

“The commandments are the very Word of God, and those who keep them demonstrate genuine love. Loving the Lord is not merely an emotion; it is a rational decision expressed through the practice of His Word. It’s similar to marriage, where commitment is shown by honoring one’s promises. When this surrender occurs, the Trinity begins to dwell within the person,” the bishop taught.

Consecration of Pastor Rogerio Moreira and His Wife, Jaquelina

Additionally, during the meeting, Pastor Rogerio Moreira was consecrated as bishop alongside his wife, Jaquelina. Having been married for 33 years, they have lived in various countries, including Portugal, Guinea-Bissau, São Tomé and Príncipe, Cape Verde, England, Sweden, Spain, Greece, and Cyprus.

“For me, the moment of consecration was God’s confirmation. There is still much work to be done, but He is counting on us for it. Our ‘here I am’ remains as it was on day one: to be useful to the Kingdom of God and His Work, in whatever way, whenever, and wherever He sees fit,” said the newly consecrated bishop.
