On September 9th, 2024, 10 volunteers from the Night Angels program gathered at 8 PM in Harlem, NYC, to help meet the needs of those who are homeless. The volunteers provided sandwiches, drinks, and snacks and offered prayers for those struggling. Over 100 people attended the event, receiving both physical and spiritual support.
“We know people are in need of help, both spiritual and physical, so we are working hard to serve the community,” said Pastor Heleno Luiz, who, together with the Night Angels volunteers, draws motivation and encouragement to reach those in need of God’s Word from the following passage:
When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. (Matthew 9:36)
