Merciful and Slow to Anger

Read and Meditate on Today’s Message

So rend your heart, and not your garments; Return to the LORD your God, For He is gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, and of great kindness; And He relents from doing harm. (Joel 2:13)

 
God knows the hearts and knows who is truly sincere toward Him, or whether good initiatives are performed merely for others to see; this adds nothing to them.

But when there is a repentant heart, which hates its mistakes and flaws or acknowledges its lack of fear of God, He forgives and is ready to receive it with open arms, for He always has compassion and mercy for the lost. What He wants most is to save the troubled sinner.
