This Mother's Day Sunday, May 10th, at 10 AM, at The Universal Church
Many mothers experience grief when they see their children lost in addiction, depression, or rebelliousness. This Sunday’s gathering will not just be a formal celebration; it will be an opportunity for spiritual intervention.
Just as the Lord Jesus comforted a grieving widow and resurrected her son (Luke 7), The Universal Church encourages parents to seek the Lord Jesus’ help today for their children and family.
The event is inspired by Mark 9, where a father said to the Lord Jesus, “Master, I brought You my son.” This desperate father sought direct help from Jesus after the disciples were unable to resolve his son’s issue.
This emphasizes the importance of steadfast and practical faith when spiritually fighting for our families, urging us not to succumb to hopelessness.
This Sunday at 10 AM, families seeking genuine change will present their prayer requests on the Altar of The Universal Church. Additionally, pastors will be available at the church entrance to anoint the children with the holy oil.
While the main focus is on mothers seeking God for their children, the theme also addresses the care that can flow in the opposite direction: “Master, I brought You my mother.”
Even in the midst of His suffering on the cross, Jesus entrusted the care of His mother, Mary, to the disciple John. Therefore, if you have your mother, seek the Lord’s help for her this Sunday at 10 AM and invite her to come and receive this anointing and blessing.
In his Morning Meditation on April 30th, Bishop Macedo announced that the anointing with holy oil on Mother’s Day will also extend to children, highlighting the need for Divine protection over future generations.
“On Sunday, May 10th, we will be holding this event to anoint children. Therefore, if you are a mother or father, you can bring them. We will be performing this anointing. Everyone is very welcome to this campaign of faith exclusively for the benefit of children, that is, the next generations. Your little son and daughter are the next generation, so let’s protect them with prayer. Thank God, He protected me, my family, and my siblings. That’s what we want to happen with your family and your children too. Let’s place them in God’s hands and trust that He will protect them, in the Name of the Lord Jesus.”
You can participate at The Universal Church this Sunday at 10 AM. Parents are encouraged to bring their children in person or present a photograph or item of clothing that represents them at the Altar.
This Sunday serves as a transformative opportunity for those who desire to place their home under God’s protection.
