Light of the World

Read and Meditate on Today’s Message

I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness. And if anyone hears My words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. (John 12:46-47)

The world, since Adam, has been in darkness—spiritually dead before God. Therefore, Jesus says that He is the Light who came into the world to shed light through salvation and life on all who believe in Him, freeing them from sin and eternal death. His coming had the purpose to save the souls of those who are in darkness, and not to judge people. However, God will hold accountable and judge those who do not accept the sacrifice of Him and His Son as Savior.
