But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God, (Acts 7:55)

Stephen was stoned to death for being a witness of Jesus. He remained steadfast and did not deny his faith. Stephen gave his life for the higher life; his soul was received into Heaven. In his last moments of life, he declared that he saw the glory of God and Jesus at His right hand and still prayed to the Father to forgive his accusers, entering the Heavenly Home for all eternity.
