Lane Murray - Open Call Service

For the first time, Lane Murray participated in the Lord’s Supper on Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2024. Imagine that. Stop and think how much joy that must’ve brought to those present.

Significance of The Lord’s Supper:

The Lord’s Supper symbolizes acceptance of the sacrifice that our Lord Jesus did for us on the cross. It is the person agreeing to deny their flesh to accept Jesus.

That is why at the beginning of the Lord’s Supper, Jesus, when He broke the bread, said to do this in remembrance of Him, to remember His sacrifices and the examples He led until His crucifixion.

The Lord’s Supper is a moment to be strengthened. Jesus guided the Lord’s Supper before facing a challenging moment, teaching us that this ceremony is a complete surrender to God. God strengthened Jesus through this, and when we participate in the Lord’s Supper, Jesus can comfort and support us.

The blood of Jesus symbolized through the grape juice, washes us clean of our sins and gives us a chance to connect with God because if we have no connection with God, our lives will always feel incomplete.

Remember:

Whenever you take part in this unique ceremony, it is a moment that you decide to have a relationship with God and abandon the sins of this world.

One lady mentioned that it had been over 20 years since she was last able to take part in The Lord’s Supper and how grateful she was to have been able to participate. Plus, many had given their testimonies that they made parole through their requests sent to Mt. Sinai.

The word given was teaching the ladies not to turn back, not to look to their past trauma, because it will hold them back from allowing God to work in their lives. But also not to exchange God’s glory for anything else.

” Have any other nations turned against their gods? No! They have not done that, even to their false gods! But my people have turned against me, the faithful God who makes them great.” Jeremiah 2:11

Everyone in Lane Murray were happy to have the UBB there. Towards the end of the event the Youth Power Group (YPG) performed a play. The play was based on a girl who was focused on God but slowly got distracted by the world.

Many times, a person ends up choosing the world over God, and this is where the cookie crumbles because this play demonstrates that many. However, they profess with their words that they love Jesus. They desire Him, sadly end up choosing what their flesh desires, and give into the world and deny the opportunity to have a life with Christ.

One lady stated that, as she is in the process of making parole, she was reminded not to look back to her old life when she went home. She will make sure that what she received behind bars goes with her.
