Bishop Macedo Has Announced a Special Purpose of Faith Aimed at This Objective. Learn More Below.
From April 28th to May 3rd, you have the opportunity to participate in a special fast for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Bishop Macedo announced this during the Morning Meditation.
“This morning, at midnight, we began a purpose for those who thirst for the Holy Spirit. This fast, beginning today and lasting seven days, is a divine inspiration. It will involve fasting until noon each day. If you have already eaten today, that’s fine—just start the fast tomorrow. This fast is from food as well as from secular information. You should dedicate the first part of your day to occupying your mind with thoughts of God,” explained the bishop.
This fast is for those who desire to receive the Holy Spirit, for He is a spring of living water for those thirsty. “He wants to come upon you and make you a spring. A spring always provides water, whether in heat or cold, during winter or summer. Whoever is a spring is always giving to those who are thirsty,” the bishop emphasized.
Jesus said, “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.” (John 15:7-8)
“To abide in the Lord Jesus means to be firm in His words and to obey what He says,” explained Bishop Macedo. He further highlighted the great commandment to love God above all things (Matthew 22:37), which involves obeying and practicing His Word as outlined in the Bible. “If you base your life on the Word of God, you demonstrate your love for Him,” the bishop taught.
Therefore, if you thirst for the Holy Spirit within you, ask Him with sincerity and all your strength—This is the purpose of the fast. The bishop stressed, “The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of eternity, the Spirit of the glory of God. Have you ever imagined having the Spirit of the glory of God within you? Just imagine what God wants to do through your life.”
• The fast will be from food until noon each day for seven days.
• Additionally, you should refrain from consuming news and instead focus your mind on thoughts of God during the first half of the day.
