Jesus Is the One Who Baptizes

Read and Meditate on Today’s Message

I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. (Matthew 3:11)

 
John the Baptist said that Someone more powerful would come to baptize with the Holy Spirit those who repented of their sins, were buried in the waters, and rose from there with a new heart and a new mind. And that is what happened: Jesus came and baptized them also with His Spirit and with fire, testing the faith of each one, leading them into the desert and the difficulties of life, so that they might be victorious like Him.
