Jesus Came into the World to Destroy the Works of the Devil

Understand What the Bible Teaches About the Work of Evil and How to Battle It Through Faith

Jesus Came into the World to Destroy the Works of the Devil

The Bible states that the Lord Jesus came into the world to “destroy the works of the devil” (1 John 3:8). This teaching shows that when facing spiritual battles, Christians should not accept evil as something they must simply live with, but learn to confront it through faith.

How Evil Seeks to Work

According to biblical teachings, evil seeks to work discreetly to distance people from God and weaken their faith. That is why it is important to develop discernment to recognize anything that could compromise our spiritual lives.

What Are the Works of the Devil?

The Bible presents different ways evil operates, including deception, accusation, temptation, and anything that seeks to distance human beings from God.

In practice, spiritual battles can manifest through thoughts, behaviors, and situations that weaken faith and lead a person away from God’s will.

The Authority of the Name of Jesus

According to the Christian faith, the Lord Jesus overcame evil and granted those who believe in Him the authority to resist spiritual forces. Therefore, when facing a spiritual battle, the guidance is not to accept the situation as it is, but to seek God and put faith into action.

This also involves abandoning anything that goes against the Word of God and developing a relationship with Him through obedience.

How to Face a Spiritual Battle

To guide those who desire to learn how to put their faith into practice during spiritual battles, The Universal Church will hold the Week of Deliverance & Spiritual Warfare, from October 26 to November 1. During this purpose, participants will receive teachings and take part in prayers focused on spiritual deliverance.

1. Develop discernment: Pay attention to what has been affecting your faith and evaluate your choices in light of the Word of God.

2. Put your faith into action: When facing spiritual battles, seek God and trust in the authority of the Name of the Lord Jesus.

3. Maintain your relationship with God: Prayer, Bible reading, and obedience to the Word help Christians remain spiritually vigilant.
