Is Your Relationship of Quality?

Highlights from the Love Therapy at the Temple of Solomon, December 19th

Is Your Relationship of Quality?

On Thursday, December 19th, a special event took place at the Temple of Solomon, bringing together couples and singles seeking to strengthen their relationships. The night featured two key sessions: the final Singles Hour of 2024 at 6 PM and the Love Therapy lecture at 7 PM.

Singles Hour

On the Temple of Solomon‘s esplanade, the Singles Hour offered a dynamic and uplifting environment. Attendees enjoyed live music from the FJU Band while receiving practical advice on building intelligent love. Guided by Bishop Renato Cardoso and his wife, Cristiane, participants participated in activities designed to help them better understand what it takes to find lasting love.

Cristiane shared valuable insights, advising singles: “To meet other people, you have to take certain actions, and one of them is to look around, search, walk—that way, you will find someone who catches your attention,  said Cristiane.

Bishop Renato addressed the men, encouraging them to overcome fear and embrace the possibility of rejection: “Men today are very embarrassed, afraid of being rejected. But, you see, you have to look for someone, and of course, you won’t always know who the person is, nor will you guess right by their appearance, because their appearance isn’t always true to what you expect. And our expectations are sometimes unrealistic. But every relationship starts with a ‘Hi,'”  he commented.

What’s Next

Afterward, everyone received an invitation to participate in the Love Therapy lecture. Once inside the sanctuary, Bishop Renato led the meeting, leading those present to reflect on fidelity and offerings.

“What you will learn today is a direction for your life beyond marriage and love life. This is for your financial, professional, family life, and your life in general. What you will learn is one of the pillars, one of the foundations of life. It is what the Word of God teaches in a way that you may never have thought of,”  he said.

Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings. (Malachi 3:8)

“God instituted the principle of tithing and offerings, but what does this have to do with your life and marriage? When we withhold tithes and offerings, we rob God, and why? Because they are His. In His Word, He says that He owns all things and, therefore, He demands recognition, which is called tithing, which is called first fruits,”  commented the bishop.

“Now, offerings are not an obligation; they are something that has to come from us. Tithing is a debt; it is an acknowledgment, while offerings are an expression. You can understand tithing as our duties and offerings as our generosity, what we do beyond our duty. But what does this have to do with marriage? Everything, because in marriage we have obligations, and if, in the marriage, at least the obligations are not fulfilled, you are on a very harmful path,”  he concluded.

Cristiane Cardoso Added

“Quality marriages are not at the level of tithing; they are at the level of offering and sacrifice because you have tithing, offering, sacrifice… Quality relationships and excellent marriages are truly shielded. They are at the level of offering. That’s what love is—it’s giving. He receives because He first gave. In marriage, everyone wants to receive, but not everyone wants to give,”  she concluded.
